Sheriden is Chair of the CRC for Developing Northern Australia (CRCNA), bringing a lifelong commitment to northern Australia shaped by her upbringing in the Northern Territory, studies in tropical agronomy, and a career spanning agriculture, aquaculture, tourism and environmental research. She has led the Reef and Rainforest Research Centre for the past decade and is Deputy Chair of Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef. Sheriden is a strong advocate for intelligent, sustainable development in northern Australia, grounded in tropical expertise and regional knowledge.
