Jimmy Cocking is the CEO of Desert Knowledge Australia (DKA), a Northern Territory statutory corporation supporting research, education, and partnerships for sustainable economic development in remote Australia. Based in Mparntwe–Alice Springs for over 18 years, Jimmy has held leadership roles in local government, environmental advocacy, and community development. He is passionate about strengthening desert communities, where safe drinking water and renewable energy are essential for liveability. Through DKA, he works to create opportunities that deliver lasting change, guided by a vision of resilient, thriving futures for people living in remote Australia.
