Fiona Dix
Program Leader Advocacy, Cairns Regional Council
Fiona is a communications specialist with over 30 years of experience in media, marketing, government relations and community engagement.
She has recently returned to Cairns Regional Council as the Advocacy Program Lead, focussing on the delivery of strategic projects, and shaping policy direction in Cairns. Previously, she was the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications at the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF).
Before starting her career in government, Fiona’s decade-long career as a journalist provided invaluable insight into the unique stories and challenges of life in northern Australia. She has called Cairns home for more than 20 years.
